Wildlife Illustrations of Fresh Water Fish
A while ago my yearly workload was out of balance, too much half the year and too little the other half. So... what does an illustrator do when he has time on his hands? Draw something of course! I've been a sportsman and outdoors enthusiast all my life so I turned my attention to one of my favorite subjects, fish.
The illustrations below are done entirely with Adobe Illustrator. I started with photo reference, developed detailed pencil sketches, which were scanned and imported. The fish are built up with many layers, using sophisticated coloring techinques. Enjoy!
